Re: Spark Plugs after 35k Miles, Issues?

Hornets tend to like bog standard NGKs and such if I remember, as per the ones fitted. Iridiums don't seem to improve things from what I have read, and they appear sometimes to be the culprit of cold...

Re: Shifting into neutral problem?

It could be as simple as the gear linkage requiring a lube and/or adjust kmanmx. If I'm remembering correctly, the ball joint on mine had dried out after 10 years of inattention and caused problems...

Re: Battery issue?

Ouch! I've heard that story a few times before about at least some USB chargers flattening batteries.

If you're rectifier is going bad I think a dead battery is the first sign, but someone must...

Re: Hornet refusing to start

Have you carried out a load test on the battery? You can ask a garage to check it, or do it yourself - check the voltage while cranking on the starter.

Re: Wanted - 06 Stock Exhaust, silencer portion

Re: Engine not turning over

It sounds like it wants to try and start, so I'd go for the simple stuff first.

1. Check your battery is fully charged.

2. Open the throttle up fully with no choke and give it some 5 second...

Re: Light Maintenance 599 2006

Yep. If you live somewhere that doesn't get above 90f very often, swap to 10w - 30. There's a noticeable extra zip from the bike when compared to 10w - 40. At least I found there is and have stuck...

Re: Would you sell your fz-07 for a 599?

Yayyyyy! Your right of passage is complete. You found the false neutral at speed:?. The gearbox likes a firm prod when changing. That will fix it.

Good to read you're enjoying the bike.
