New to the site and the 599

Hi everyone, I just picked up my new to me yellow, 04, 599 with only 1,400 miles on the clock. It was at a dealer in south Fl, for 3,995$. I learned to ride a few years ago, and I've ridden my dads bikes since then, including his new SV1000s. But this is really my first bike, and I love it.

It's been raining all weekend here, but I got to take my fist ride on the 599 today, following my dad on his SV. There's nothing like 80mph on I95, in the pouring rain for your first ride. :shock: Anyway, I just wanted to say hi to everyone. I'll try to post some pics after I get the bike cleaned up tomorrow, but I'm sure you know what it looks like already.

Welcome jmgibson. I95 is pretty long dude. Whereabouts on I95 or is
location on a need to know basis?? Anyway enjoy our favorite bike in
the world and yes we know what it looks like but post pics anyway.
And that does sound like a GREAT deal you got. Congrats. 8)

I need to get the headers cleaned up somehow :oops:

I tried to take the windscreen off but I don't have the stock headlight bolts, and the ones that came on the bike are too long without the windscreen.

Let me know if 1024 is too big and I can resize em.
