A few months ago, NewEnough put a few of the Marsee backpacks on a huge clearance. Since then, I've purchased both the 7 Liter and 29 Liter Deluxe packs. I've used both bags quite a bit and I highly recommend both. The Marsee bags have wide and very soft straps to distribute the weight. The same thick padding is also found on the back. The outer material is similar to other high-end textile moto gear and the overall workmanship is outstanding. Also cool - they have compartments on each strap to give quick access to a cell phone and sunglasses.
It's tough to tell from the pictures, but the 7 Liter pack is tiny. On me, it goes about 2/3 of the way down my back. I can fit a visor, pair of shoes, and a few small items inside. It's great for a normal workday commute.
For more significant trips, or if I need to haul a laptop around, the 24 liter bag rocks. It's way bigger than the other bag - it goes all the way down my back and has two sections. One section is roughly the size of the 7 liter pack, the other (main) section is far larger and includes a padded laptop section. The main compartment has straps on the side so you can collapse it when room isn't needed.
For $25 and $43, these are really outstanding deals.
