Hey all,

I ran accross your site and it looks great. I rode a 2004 599 for a couple of years and loved it! I currently have a Suzuki SV, but I'm missing the 599! I posted a request in the for sale section of anyone selling or could point me in the direction of a 2006 599 that is a california emissions compliant bike. Basically one sold in CA. I'll look forward to riding a 599 again!

what made you switch from the 599 to the SV in the first place? I rode one and didn't really enjoy it compared to my 599.

Well, to be honest it was a decision to just get something different. My bad! I really miss the in line 4. The suzuki V-twin is fun also, but the fit, finish and quality of the Honda is hard to beat.

Can't you get a used non-Cali bike if it has a certain number of miles on it?

Ya know, I think you are right. I'm not sure of the miles it has to have. I tried to get a used bike from another state a few yeasrs ago and it was kind of a pain. Our DMV is very problematic with non-CA vehicles.

I would doublecheck with the DMV, but I think if the bike has over 7500 miles you're okay.

Don't worry about getting rid of the 599. Yeah it was dumb but this is
the first step to getting back in the fold. We will begin intense and covert
surveillance on you to ensure the committee that you are sincere. The
question is are you really ready to come back out of the Matrix? :D

Glad you found us. I'm sure you have some great spots to ride out there in the (north of the) Bay Area. And the 599 is going to feel great on those roads.
