Thought this was cool... if anyone ever questions the nature or back round of your hornet, you can say the Japanese named it after this little sucker...

Holy f*ck, that's scary. That whole article was scary, but the hornets are like... Spartans of the insect world times thirty...
Hate the nastier insects... so scary, some of the stuff they do...

Apparently, recently the Bee's have found a way to protect themselves from these hornets.
The native Japanese honey bee, however, has figured out a way to fight back. When the initial hornet scout approaches the hive they lure it inside. Once inside, they swarm the hornet en masse, covering it entirely and keeping it from moving. They then begin to vibrate their flight muscles. This has the effect of raising the temperature of the honey bee mass to 47 °C (117 °F). The honey bees can just tolerate this temperature, but the hornets cannot survive more than 45 °C (113 °F), and are effectively roasted alive.

So, who's the guy with balls of aerospace-grade titanium working the camera outside the beehive? I'd cry like a baby if I even had to operate the video camera remotely. From an underground bunker. A thousand miles away.
