That SUCKS! I am so thankful I have a garage. And since I'll be moving in May I am insisting that our new place has a garage also.
A buddy of mine just went back to grad school and had his CBR in the dorm's parking lot. One evening he went out and found it on it's side. But what's worse is when he realized that whoever did it first pushed it over on one side, then picked it up and pushed it over on the other.
BASTARDS! :bash :banghead :shifty :rant

If you're going to be parking outside on the street a lot, you might want to consider an alarm. Not an abnoxious noise maker, but rather one of those things that has like a pager on your keychain that beeps to let you know your bike has been "moved" ie. pushed over or picked up and put on the back of a truck. They have pretty good range, but I'm not sure what kind of battery drain they have.

Yeah Im going to college this fall and I dont know what Im going to do with my bike, its almost worth renting out a mini-storage to keep it but that gets expensive....Im kind of worried to keep it in a dorm parking lot covered or not :?

i have a pager system with an lcd on the keyfob that tells what kind of thing set it off, and the battery drain is pretty much unoticable as long as the bike doesnt sit for more than a month or so

yeh I oredred the scorpio alarm with the pager system for mine as well pretty much for that reason of when I park away from home somewhere.
If the parents paid for the parts, you can bet those kids got a GOOD talking to...and hopefully some actual discipline as well.
