Suburban fitting...

Ok guys, I have now got my suburban bars (woo hoo!) and will be fitting them when I get some free time, probably in the next month. Those of you that have fitted them, any tips or advice? It looks pretty straight forward and I changed the bars on my Bonneville with no problems but if you have any pearls of wisdom then I'd like to know :D

i used to have them on. there's really nothing special about the install, fairly easy. have some after market barend weights on hand, the OEM weights will not go back on the SUB BARS. soon after you install the bars, your going to want either, low profile mirrors or barends.

good choice in bars, post pics when you have them on.

Cheers for the response :) I can't wait to put them on. I am getting one Oberon bar end mirror to finsh the cafe look...along with mini indicators and removing the grab rail (also sat in the garage waiting to go on).

I have them on my bike. I just went down to Honda an got new bar weights and all that parts you need like the clips ect. They were not cheep but if you are spending the money then go all the way with new parts thats what I did.

Still not found time to fit anything...sat waiting are the SM bars, Rizoma grab rail inserts, Mini Indicators and hopefully one of them funky race gas caps soon...the bike is laid up for winter anywayand won't be coming out of hibernation for at least another month. Will post as soon as there is progress!

Its actually not that cold over here but they salt the roads just in case where I live and I can't bear to watch my bike rot away!
