just a quick post.... i put the mivv x-cone on last night, and must say that it looks and sounds great. I'd say it's approx. half the weight of the original (you'd think it'd be a little lighter due to it's size, but i guess that's how the keep it from being too loud). I'll try to get my girlfriends camera soon so i can take some pictures of the pipe and the new handlebars.... maybe, eventually, i'll see if i can get a video up with the sound of the pipe...

but for anyone interested in mivv, i'd say go for it,... it's a great price and the contruction looks solid on it, good strong looking welds and what not. not to mention the looks and the sounds.

also, it was ordered from PJ who was very helpful and got us a great price... i'd recomend him to everyone here for sure.

We can fix the sound clip issue, antihero... Which exhaust do you want? After you mount it you can post the clip! :naughty

(o.k. - I'll go hide now)

It looks like it has a removeable baffle. What's the sound like with and without it?

Thanks for posting the pics, Cesu... We'll post them in the catalog if you don't mind....

SSS: it comes with the baffle riveted in, so i haven't decided to take it out for any reason. it sounds great as is, and isn't too loud. so i think i'll keep it that way.

PJ: that's fine, but, if you wait i can probably get you some better pictures,... i took those while talkin on the cellphone..... and rushed them.... but it's up to you

Very nice!!! Looks like it would melt the turn signal after a long
ride, tho. Have you noticed any heat issues?

jmd
01-08-2007, 07:01 AM
Looks like the signal isn't in the path of the exhaust gases...i would guess that it would be ok. Of course if it is a problem, the easy remedy for that is smaller turn signals or an integrated tail light...

yeah,... exactly... after a ride i can sometimes smell a little bit of plastic burning,.... but like jmd said, i'm planning on gettin smaller turn signals and an undertray anyways, so i'm not too worried...

hey cesu, if you don't mind me asking(and if you rather not it's all gravy)
how much did that pipe set you back and how soon did it get to you?

i got from PJ on this forum... He was super helpful and it shipped pretty quickly, he tried his best to get it to me before christmas and it ended up coming the day after (but he didn't have much time, so... the fact that it was there that soon is commendable) i don't recall the exact time frame. maybe a week and a half? (PJ can post up more details if he remembers)... and as far as price, PJ was again very helpful and got it for about 315 if i recall (it was a christmas gift, so i'm not sure the exact cost with shipping - again, PJ can post it up here if he'd like) but if you're really interested i'd just send PJ a pm and i'm sure he'll respond super quick and help you out any way he can.

We get shipments from Italy every week, so we can usually have a pipe here in about 10 days... but use e-mail to get pricing and availability.

List on that pipe is actually $369, but we're getting them out cheaper and hoping to get the name out there - the quality of these rivals much more expensive pipes..

If I order one now do you need the money up front or when it arrives from Italy? I don't get paid this week but I want it so bad...

Normally we'll invoice a $100 deposit when we order it, and the balance when it's ready to ship..
Right now it would be early next week as the soonest we'd get it here, and possibly the following week depending on the Italians.

hi cesu i'm from the uk site. been referred over here from one of your guys that comes onto our message board. i'm thinking of getting one of these pipes so has been really useful for me to look at this post. i, like you, have the stock tail end at the moment. is this indicator burning much of a problem??? after how many miles do you notice something? gonna need to stick with the stock end for a little while til i can get funds together for new undertray and indicators etc. has the exhaust effected the running of your bike? noticed any difference in idling or how much choke you need to give it etc? trying to decide whether i'll need a dynojet. how happy are you with the fit of it against the rear cowling? looks a little gappy. any chance of posting some more pictures here or emailing me? would really appreciate it mate.

pj would you ship out to the uk? sounds like you guys get the can cheaper out there. any ideas on cost of can + postage to uk?

thanks a lot guys

yeah, there is definitely a visible gap between the pipe and the seat cowl.... but it doesn't look bad to... especially when standing up,... if you crouch down you notice it more. but it's not really that bad, that's the price for the "small pipe" look. As far as the "burning indicator" it seems to have mellowed out a bit, i don't smell it nearly as bad (if at all) when i ride now. I'd say i've put a few hundred on it sincce installing the pipe, and there still isn't any "visible" burn really (it may be smudged....) so, it's really just that initial smell.

as far as having to change anything else, i'd say no... i seem to use the choke about the same amount of time.... bike rides pretty much the same, except for a slight performance boost, and i have no dynojet or after market air filter

i will definitely try and get some more pictures up.... but, as you guys may have realized,... i'm a little laggy on these things... but i will really try

hope that was all your questions? ask any more you got...

nice one cesu. that's great. if you could get some more pics up that would be excellent. i'll keep checking back from time to time but reckon this is probably the exhaust for me. think i'll hold back til i see a bit more from your end.

thanks a lot mate, appreciate it

cesu, have you ridden two up with this pipe yet? With it being smaller than the stock muffler, does it tuck more under the seat? I'm worried about burning pants/legs of my passenger, what do you think?

cesu pro
02-02-2007, 12:46 PM
yeah,.... i have ridden two up.... maybe 20-30 miles max... not much, but there was no pant burning at all..... yeah,... it doesn't seem to stick out as far as the stock did so it doesn't really need a cover..... i guess it depends how your passenger keeps there legs.... if she keeps em too tightly shut maybe her pants will burn.... (there's a joke somehwere in there....)

alright seriously.... if the sun stays out... i will REALLY REALLY try to get some more detailed pics up for you guys
